COVID 19 UPDATE
December 20, 2021
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Due to the dramatic increase in Covid-19 cases we are now limiting the fulfillment of work orders to critical issues only. All other requests will be documented and addressed at a later date. Critical issues would include:
· No heat or hot water
· Interruption in electricity
· Lock out situations
· Significant water leaks
· Refrigerators fail to operate
· Toilets plugged
· Stoves not working (More than one element)
· Fire alarms are sounding
Before our team visits your unit you must confirm the following with our office:
If you have been diagnosed with COVID 19, you are under self, or 3rd party-imposed quarantine.
If you have been exposed to a third party who has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
If you are suffering from Flu like symptoms and have not been tested for Covid.
Failure to inform us of any potential exposure to COVID-19 will place our team at risk, resulting in the potential shut down of our entire operation. That means no garbage collection or the satisfaction of critical work orders. Once we appear at your unit you must distance yourself from staff by 6 feet or 2 meters and wear a mask.

RENT:
We will no longer accept cash payments at the office, nor will we offer change for any transactions. You may pay your rent through these methods:
1. Cheque or money order. Mail or drop off at the office. Note we have an after-hours mail drop-off box.
2. Debit machine (When the office is open). If closed see 1 (above) or 3 & 4 (below).
Most, if not all cash paying customers, have signed-off on instructions relative to non-cash payment methods. Those who have not must resort to paying via money order or cheque (#1 above).
3. Through any RBC Branch (If not already signed off on instructions), Call the office 902.490.6277
4. Electronic Funds Transfer/Internet Banking. This payment method is now far easier to do. You no longer need to input “passwords” and “answers to questions.” If you still run into issues, please call us (902.490.6277).
We understand that our residents are being affected by COVID-19. We also know that many are experiencing work interruptions and pay cuts. Government relief plans and programs to support Canadians continue to unfold, so residents should monitor websites outlining support programs. Please see the following Government of Canada link:
https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/economic-response-plan.html
Our regular practice of working with residents with respect to individual situations will continue. Please call our office 902.490.6277 or email us [email protected] to discuss further.
If you have been impacted by COVID 19, such that your ability to pay rent is at risk, you must notify us immediately.
LAUNDRY/COINAMATIC: While we have chosen to shut down the office, we remain sensitive to your need to refill your laundry cards. We have chosen to keep the office vestibule open each Saturday between 1 PM and 3 PM to accommodate this. Please refill your cards to the maximum allowable ($30.00). Please bring exact change when replenishing your cards. We will no longer provide change. Please be responsible if a line up appears when appearing at the office. Only one person at a time may appear in the vestibule area when replenishing cards. Please maintain a six foot or 2-meter distance if waiting in line. While unmanned, our premises are now under 24/7 video surveillance. Poor behavior will be noted, and access off hours will cease permanently for everyone if poor behavior is proven.
Yours in safety and good health.
